Salt & Straw sets a new standard for ice cream, more specifically ice cream flavors. With 12 classic Portland flavors and five other flavors changing depending on month and city (they also have an LA location), you can either try something new and seasonal or stick to the basics. That is, if you consider Avocado & Strawberry Sherbet, Freckled Woodblock Chocolate, and Santa Ynez Walnut Oil flavors of ice cream basic.
