The tennis phenomenon may be winding down in London, but it is just beginning to warm up in the states. Yesterday, pro athletes and tennis super stars Leander Paes and Martina Hingis (who play for the Washington Kastles) and Serena Williams decided to trade in their racquets for forks at MXDC, celebrity chef Todd English’s newest DC restaurant.
The tennis pros, still dressed in athletic garb, were spotted dinning together and reportedly shared the MX Paella specially made without pork, the Pollo Rostizado, the Pascado A La Talla, the chef’s slow roasted whole fish, the Seven Chile Lamb Shank, and an assortment of tacos with ceviches and guacamoles. With the array of dishes ordered from the luxe menu, we hope the food scored an ace with the tennis pros. English’s new restaurant is located on F street near the White House.
