The Redskins' Clinton Portis had nary a spare moment this weekend. Between a charity benefit on Saturday and a pool party on Sunday, his schedule was packed.
It was a HOT weekend here in D.C. (you already knew that), but the heat did not stop party goers from getting together to raise funds for the DMV.
The 'Skins' Clinton Portis hosted “Love from the DMV All White Charity Cocktail Reception” at Chevy Chase's Famoso Restaurant & Lounge. The all white event benefited the Clinton Portis Foundation and the Gulf oil spill relief efforts.
The proceeds raised from the cocktail reception will aid students along the Gulf Coast who have been displaced from their schools, athletic fields, and training grounds. The goal is to provide these kids with an opportunity to continue excelling athletically while clean-up efforts in the Gulf area continue.
Spotted among Saturday's party goers were some of Washington’s movers and shakers, including athletes, celebrities, fashionistas, artists and key political, philanthropic, and social figures such as retired Redskin Gary Clark, Becky’s Fund founder Becky Lee, CW Host Katie Rost, and R&B sensations Mya and Raheem DeVaughn.
The following day, Clinton hosted a pool party at this home. What better way to cool off?
Good to see that CP is spending his off season wisely by helping those in need and entertaining friends.
