Spring Break Is Still Alive At Surfside

While the days of spring break are, unfortunately, long gone, the spirit lives on in Glover Park.  Surfside offers up the feeling of a beachside Mexican restaurant and fresh bright interesting flavor combinations. After you order your taco or burrito, grab some of the pineapple jalapeno salsa and tortilla chips and head up stairs to the rooftop bar. This is where the party really begins.

Under strings of lights and tiki torches, the preppy locals sip on delicious margaritas that will certainly remind you of your senior year spring break. The crowd here feels like a modern day cast of “St. Elmo’s Fire,” without the brooding coming-of-age journey. Young professionals flock here to regain the memory of spring breaks long gone, and for good reason.

Even when the weather is a bit on the chilly side, diners clad in Patagonias and Barbours indulge in no nonsense tacos, quesadillas, and burritos.

While the casual and warm environment of Surfside lures you in, the food will keep you coming back for more. Surfside’s menu boasts fresh ingredients with bold flavors. Try the Cabo San Lucas taco for a rustic yet spicy dish. Or if red meat isn’t your forte, the Nevis shrimp taco will wish you were on a boat in the middle of a tropical lagoon.

If you like Surfside, be sure to grab a bite at its sister restaurants, Jetties and Bayou, or try to get on the list at Smith Point. As the weather gets warmer and the shorts get shorter, you can be sure that the party at Surfside will only get hotter.
