The weather couldn't stop Lilly Pulitzer-clad tailgaters and horse lovers alike from heading down to Charlottesville, Virginia this past Saturday for the 2012 Foxfield Spring Races!
The Foxfield Races bring families, friends and students together on a beautiful landscape in Charlottesville for a day of picnicking, tailgating and fun! Guests rolled up to the races in style, fashioning classy spring dresses, madras bow ties and cool seersucker pants, ready to place bets on their favorite horses in the bunch!
Scattered rain showers aside, some of the District's hottest prepsters joined their pretty and polished University of Virginia cohorts for a day of drinking and debauchery. The beers were cold and the food was hot, while the young and affluent popped bottles, blasted music and danced in the back of pickup trucks!
The 2012 Spring Races were sponsored by Lilly Pultizer Pink Palm, Vineyard Vines, Stella Artois and Monster Energy drink, among others, and lucky tailgaters snagged free swag from the Seasonnaires at the Jack Will's party jeep!
The clouds couldn't keep us away from this favorite spring event and we can't wait until next year!
