Linus Gets Happy: Libations For A Good Cause

by ARIELLE KRIEGER · July 1, 2010

Last night the Linus Foundation held their second happy hour at 19th Bar in D.C. to raise money and awareness their foundation. The proceeds from this happy hour benefited Turning the Page, a local organization that links D.C. public schools, families and our community together to ensure that D.C. students receive valuable educational resources and a high-quality public education.

The Linus Foundation is a nation-wide non-profit organization that serves to support exciting and innovative programs that educate and empower children. Through fundraising events, The Linus Foundation has raised awareness and support across the country for a variety of local programs that help children reach the full power of their own potential.

The event at 19th Bar last night, organized by the D.C. volunteers for the Linus Foundation, was extremely successful and beneficial in continuing the success of Turning the Page's influence in D.C. public schools. The Linus Foundation is continuously growing and looks forward to working with more charities in the D.C. area, as well as across the country, to establish initiatives that support children in various communities.
