DC found a music identity on Saturday at Trillectro, a concert that blended electronic dance music and "trill" hip-hop for 12 11 hours at the Half Street Fairgrounds, orchestrated by Modi Oyewole, Quinn Coleman, Marty Marshall, DC to BC and the Rock Creek Social Club. The event got absolutely rave reviews from everyone, from BYT to the Washington Post, so we hope this event becomes a staple summer festival.

The music was absolutely incredible!!! High energy womp-womps and lyrics vibrated the crowd to levels we have never seen or heard before--but perhaps too incredible, as the concert was shut down prematurely in the middle of Flosstradamus' performance due to a "noise complaint."

Modi told Guest of a Guest, "TRILLECTRO will hopefully go down in history as a turning point in DC's creative culture."

Guests came out decked in their best urban hippie gear. There was so much chronic in the air, you'd think it was already legalized. Well, it kind of already is. Not a particularly boozy crowd, though, as lines for food trucks were MUCH longer than for the Bullpen bar.
