The chic and stylish Urbana, in Dupont's Hotel Palomar, always attracts a lively and and creative crowd.  Last night's Tweetup brought those usual suspects.  Tuesday's event, hosted by D.C.-based web marketing company Sisarina, brought together urban professionals, entrepreneurs, and those of us just hoping to snag some discounted cocktails and appetizers.

Owned by Kimpton, the genius restaurant group who brought us Bar Rouge, Firefly, Helix Lounge and Poste Brasserie, Urbana is known for its contemporary and eclectic French/Italian fare, minimalist design, trendy and potent drinks, and fashionable fan base.

Sisarina's D.C. Tweetups are self-described by founder Melanie Spring as  'non-networking' events that are designed for locals to socialize, sip, dine, and mingle. Last night's event consisted of tweeters and non-tweeters alike, who donned name tags and enjoying $4 white sangria courtesy of Urbana's talented (and may I say quite easy on the eyes) bar staff. This attendee (@nikkibogopo), who can't speak for the rest of the happy hour crowd, was quite fond of James the bartender's generously poured concoctions. Music played as attendees chatted, drank, and enjoyed themselves well past the 8PM happy hour cut-off.
