Wild North At The Warehouse

We can only think of one good reason to go to a shady strip of NY Ave NE on a weekend night (or any night for that matter)—last Friday, it seems that all of D.C’s young and awesome felt similarly.  Around midnight on Friday eve, we found ourselves at Wild North's first warehouse party of the season.  Wild North, the brainchild of DC DJs and scenesters-in-the-know Chris Burns, Sami Yenigun, Gavin Holland and Eric Tilden, in collaboration with Simone Freeman, Ben Howell, and Danny Ostrometsky, has been sponsoring club nights, basement parties, and warehouse raves for a year now, but this year's kickoff seemed to outdo the rest with fervor.

By 11PM, Wild North had packed the Warehouse and drawn a line that filled up the venue's entire parking lot. In a PARTY BROS vs. PACEMAKER DJ duet danceoff, Holland, Burns, Yenigun (Sami Y) and Tilden (DJTJ) spun eclectic house and trance tunes as strobe lights pulsated through a fog-filled warehouse.

We wish we could take credit for these pictures, but were too busy drinking, dancing, and generally rocking the eff out to document the evening.

The boys don’t know for sure when the next warehouse shindig will be, but music aficionados can check them out Wednesdays at Science Club.

Follow Wild North on Facebook and Twitter for updates on their next great rager.
