INSIDE JACQUELINE GELLNER'S SUN-KISSED SUMMER MAKEUP WORKSHOP!

The District’s summer sun can be sweltering, but thanks to Jacqueline Gellner’s Sun-Kissed Summer Makeup Workshop, we no longer need to hide from the heat. In case you missed the learning experience of a lifetime, we are taking you back into the studio for a glimpse of Jacqueline’s makeup magic!

On Sunday, July 12, Jacqueline Gellner, one of DC's top makeup artist, hosted her "Sun Kissed: A Summer Makeup Workshop" at Bittersweet Creative Studio. Attendees watched as Jacqueline demonstrated, from start to finish, the secrets to achieving that sun-kissed, golden-bronze summertime look on a live model with the help of light installations and a giant screen. The audience took in all of Jacqueline's magic makeup tips as she successfully showcased her techniques by applying bronzy shadows, illuminating foundations, and highlighting shimmer sprays, meticulously transforming the visage of the event's model and special guest, Nicole Pettit.

While Nicole played model for the evening, she was also the event honoree! In addition to learning new makeup techniques for the summer, the workshop also aimed to create awareness and help raise money for Nicole's Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, "Finest Finale." Nicole's sister, Lauren, was recently diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis inspiring Nicole to host small fundraisers as part of a larger challenge to raise money for life-saving research for the disease. Nicole, along with other DC young professionals doing their part to raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis, will be honored for their dedication to the cause on Wednesday, July 22 at the Washington DC chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's "Breathe Easy Bash."

During the July 12th event, social media blew up with images from Jacqueline’s Sun Kissed extravaganza! Guests used the hashtag, #SunKissedWithJG to share their instagrams and tweets. Each post entered an attendee into a raffle for the chance to win the event's grand prize -  a gift bag with over $75 worth of MAC cosmetics products, a pair of House of Lashes false lashes, and a free makeup session with Jacqueline! In addition to an afternoon of endless makeup guidance, guests indulged in summertime refreshments, such as fruit-mint-infused water and mimosas from the custom bar. The perfect pairing for an afternoon of sparkling, summertime glam!
