Interview: Zena Polin, Owner of The Daily Dish
You recently took a trip to Ireland (with your penpal!!). Did you bring back any inspirations for your work? Your life?
It was truly an inspiring trip at all levels. Meals there are about enjoying life. Meeting people. Drinking beer. Listening to music. I loved both their food and beer culture. Even their McDonald’s uses local grass fed beef! We tried to eat uber local - seafood, lamb, beef. Usually, we had a beer that was made in the same town where we were staying. This is one of the reasons we love working with Denizens Brewing, which is just down the road from us in Silver Spring.
You're known for your bright red hair. Would you say it matches your personality?
Indeed! Both my grandmother and mother have red hair, and I’ve inherited their feisty personalities as well.
