Other details: On Monday, December 15, the soulful, Grammy Award winning crooner, Estelle, electrified the stage during her live performance at DC's historic Howard Theater. For the month of December, Estelle embarked on an five city tour entitled "An Evening of True Romance," to promote her newly created album, "True Romance," out February 17th. Estelle stopped in DC and chose the Howard Theater as an intimate setting for an evening of true romance. Garbed in a sleek black blazer, leather pants, and chic lace up heels, Estelle took the to the stage accompanied by a DJ and lead bass guitarist, Estelle performed a number songs from her new album including her new single, "Conqueror," as well the famous hit single, "American Boy." The quaint, speak-easy inspired set up allowed for the audience to easily connect with Estelle while she was on stage. The vivacious singer was extremely interactive with the crowd. She lived up the room encouraging audience members to stand up, dance in their seats, and join her in song. One lucky audience member was also invited to dance on the stage with the singer, which had audience members cheering and jumping out of their seats. To the audience's dismay, Estelle's riveting performance eventually came to an end, but the singer was called back onto stage and she ended the show with an encore performance.
