It looks like Ivanka Trump needs to update her Instagram bio to "Wife, mother, sister, daughter. Advisor to POTUS and Unofficial Mascot of Beans." Perhaps this career pivot is a part of her "Find Something New" job campaign?
More likely, her latest Instagram post, in which she's depicted holding up a can of beans in the manner of a The Price is Right girl (with much crazier eyes), is an attempt to gas up Goya (pun fully intended) in the wake of widespread criticism from the other side of the political (grocery?) aisle.
After the CEO of Goya Foods, Robert Unanue, made an appearance at the White House Rose Garden to praise POTUS, saying, we're all "truly blessed…to have a leader like President Trump," democrats and detractors have called for a boycott of the country's largest Hispanic-owned company, famous for peddling rice, seasonings, and indeed, beans. Meanwhile, Trump supporters have been stocking up on the "magical fruit," tooting their horns for Goya beans in a "buy-cott."
And though Ivanka's post seems to encourage her family's fans to give themselves gas in order to "own the libs," it also happens to violate the ethical standards for executive-branch employees, who may not use their public office to endorse any products. Oops!
Personally, we also think it should be illegal for any member of the Trump family to attempt to speak Spanish.
