Mary Schmidt Amons, one of the stars of Bravo\'s Real Housewives of D.C., is spending today recovering from a minor skin surgery that removed cancerous cells from her shoulder.
She wrote this on her Facebook page:
Just recovering from a day of Moh\'s Skin cancer surgery. These spots are a direct result for making a last minute very bad decision to lay in a tanning bed on my way to the Carribbean a few years ago. 2- 3inch scars on my shoulder, thankfully Dr. Eric Finzi was able to remove it all. Tanning beds should be outlawed! Wear your sunscreen!
Tanning beds were recently outlawed in California for people under the age of 18.
If this is starting small, then her dream of tanning beds being outlawed could become a reality tv show!
