A Guide To Fashion's Night Out, D.C. Style

by guestofaguest · September 7, 2010

The venerable Anna Wintour established Fashion's Night Out last year in an effort to incite retail fervor despite the dismal state of our economy.  And because everything Ms. Wintour does is en vogue, metropolises outside the bounds of New York City followed suit, including D.C.

And it's happening again this year, both in NYC and D.C.  This Friday marks the second Fashion's Night Out, and you better believe Georgetown will be bustling with activity.  While there are too many FNO inspired events to list here, we've taken the liberty of narrowing your options:

Where To Be And Be Seen On Fashion’s Night Out DC

Book Hill Block Party: For the All in One Book Hill has plans to shut it down on Fashion’s Night Out in Georgetown—literally. Wisconsin Avenue between P Street and Reservoir Road will be closed form 6-11pm for the official Georgetown FNO Block Party. There will be live music, sales, swag, and styling at stores including Ilo, Easel Hair, Urban Chic, and Bacchus Wine Cellar, just to name a few. From 7:30-9pm a fashion show at TD Bank will feature looks from some of Georgetown’s favorite retailers. This is the place to be to see it all without having to jump around all night and everyone who’s anyone is sure to stop by. Wisconsin Avenue between P St and Reservoir Road, NW

Two new collections will be debuting at Lost Boys the night of, so stop by for the top picks. The event kicks off at 6 and will wrap up around 11, or when the booze runs out. 1033 31st Street, NW
