Presidential Turkey Pardon
What: Presidential Thanksgiving Turkey Pardon
When: Before it hits your dinner table.
Where: The White House
Why: The annual Presidential Thanksgiving Turkey Pardon supposedly dates all the way back to President Lincoln. Each year our nation's fearless leader of the free world shows his mercy by allowing one fine feathered friend to avoid a turkey's usually inevitable holiday fate.
Follow POTUS' example by joining the Vegetarian Society of DC for their annual Life-Affirming Thanksgiving Celebration at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda from 12 - 4PM. The programming includes a guest speaker, exhibitors, exciting door prizes, a silent auction fundraiser, and a live musical act following lunch.
