What: Friendsgiving
When: Thanksgiving Day
Where: Whichever friend is still in town and has the best rooftop
Why: Not all of us have family located in the DMV so when you decide to stay behind you can always join together a group of fellow misfits and host a Friendsgiving. Besties-about-town Nikki Schwab, U.S. Political Reporter for Daily Mail Online, and Neil Grace, Senior Communication Advisor at the FCC, shared their Friendsgiving menu with us.
Friendsgiving Menu:
Turkey with gravy
Kale Salad with brussel sprouts, cranberries, pomegranate seeds, manchego and citrus dressing
Sweet sausage stuffing
Cranberry and orange relish
Nikki's (in)famous meatballs
Creamed corn
Pumpkin Pie
Bourbon vanilla ice cream with pumpkin pie spices as a holding one.
Spiked whipped cream for pie and coffee
Copious amount of Pumking Beer and other libations of choice followed by singing Adele's new album on the top of your lungs
Note Friendsgiving is void of family judgement on your drinking.
