This past Saturday, six blocks (between 8th and 14th streets) of H Street NE were blocked off, from noon to 7pm, for the annual H Street Festival. The festival celebrates the revamped H Street NE corridor and the diverse DC community. This year, H Street Festival was aiming for a crowd of more than 50,000, and after seeing the many faces in attendance, it must have reached that number. With over 30 musical acts on five stages, face painting, street vendors, a fashion show, food trucks, a car show, a pie eating contest, and rock climbing, the festival was entertaining for all ages. H street was definitely the place to be on Saturday afternoon!
