The annual summer Sidewalk Sale is back at Bethesda Row this weekend. This is our favorite weekend for shopping the quaint boutiques and finding great deals, all while taking part in little surprises like live music on the Lane.

Here is everything you need to know about the sales this weekend:

Ginger Boutique is starting things off tonight with a book party: Sarah Pekkanen, best-selling author of These Girls, Skipping a Beat, and The Opposite of Me, will be there signing her newest novel, The Best of Us. Make sure to browse Ginger's $5, $25, $50 sale racks, and get spring and summer looks at 50% off (you might be able to score a reduced Yoana Baraschi or Trina Turk dress). Must RSVP to Ginger@BrandLinkDCRSVP.com.

Amethyst is hosting a Lisa Nik Designer Trunk Show, and offering 20% off store wide.

The new COURAGE. b store is offering lots of deals, like 50% off “pop top” and “jet-set” bags, 50% off pleated skirts, 30% off all shoes and scarves, 15% off all Italian leather handbags and python bags. Plus, the usually $100 leather belt straps are now only $59.

Fitness wear store Lucy will have Melanie Rys, a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and Crossfit Kettlebell Instructor in on Sunday to teach shoppers about great glutes.

Pink Palm will be serving up lemonade and snacks while you shop their Lilly Pulitzer and other preppy merchandise. Their sale items will be marked down to 75% off.

She boutique Sassanova is slashing prices on their shoes to make way for fall inventory. Savings will reach up to 70% off.

Select any two of the summer select vinegars at Secolari for $30--which make great gifts. Select vinegars include: Royal Raspberry, Rustico Italiano, and Raspberry with Basil.

Acclaimed home decor store Urban Country will have 20% off decorative accessories & gifts until Aug 4. This includes dinnerware, bedding, lighting, rugs, wall decor, baby gifts, fashion accessories and more.

Wear It Well is selling tees from Michael Stars and Velvet at 40% off, Summer scarves for $9.99, and a clearance on other items with steep discounts.

Some of the food spots in the area are offering deals to hungry shoppers, too:

If you shop with a friend, eat at Bethesda Bagels: they're doing a buy one sandwich, get the second 50% off deal. If you're shopping with your whole clique, buy a dozen bagels and get a free 8 oz. container of any cream cheese.

Capital Teas will host an iced tea tasting. Shoppers can also enjoy a free cup of their featured iced tea with purchase of an 8 oz. bose tea or more.

If you're shopping with a little one, eat at Cosi, where kids eat free with purchase of any adult entrée. Or, get a free drink with purchase of entrée (coffee, fountain, or specialty drink), though these two offers may not be combined.

Wind down at Redwood, where a beverage purchase comes with free flatbread [show them the coupon at the bottom of this page].

Other participating retailers that will be taking part in the sale are boloco, City Sports, Dolcezza Gelato, Francesca’s, J. McLaughlin, Le Creuset, Lou Lou, Luke’s Lobster, Mamma Lucia, Mussel Bar & Grille, MyEyeDr., Quartermaine Coffee and others.

[Michael George, the one man steel drum band, is something you have to see to believe. He will be in the Lane Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1-5pm.]
