The White House - 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
This is literally the most exclusive place in Washington DC to tie the knot. Most official sources say that there have been 19 wedding ceremonies held at The White House including nine Presidential children and one President (Grover Cleveland). While the last first child to walk down the aisle at the District's most famous landmark was Tricia Nixon in 1971, the most recent White House wedding ceremony was in 1994: Tony Rodham, brother to former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, married Nicole Boxer, daughter of California Senator Barbra Boxer.
Unless you're
actually a
really important person in Washington DC, dreams of a White House wedding will remain nothing more than unrealistic fantasies. Attending is more likely to be in the cards, but don't even think of showing up uninvited. We all know what happened to the last White House party crashers.
