Salty Foods

Foods high in sodium don't directly contribute to a bad mood. However, they will make you bloated, which is sure to be depressing. So stay away from bagels, which have a surprisingly high sodium content, salted nuts, deli meats and even bottled vegetable juices. Opt instead for bagel thins or homemade fruit smoothies when you're craving a snack.
