Patriotic Washingtonians kicked off Independence Day celebrations an the Great American Festival at the stunning Gaylord National Harbor on Saturday. The festival was an all-day party that featured American party favors, drinks, food, and lots of dancing on the beach to music by favorite acts Eve 6, Ozomatli, See-I, DJ Neekola, Lost in Paris, Maskell, DJ Beach, DJ Chris Styles, DJ Flounder, DJ Pat Premier, Horrorscope, Skratch & Sniff, and The Dance Party. The day concluded with a dazzling evening fireworks display that shot straight off the pier.
The festival, put on by Lindy Promotions and HiBall Events, was temporarily in jeopardy after a series of severe storms came through Washington over the weekend that damaged National Harbor, but it was back up and running just in time for the festival.
