Slide #1
Definitely one of the most versatile artists, David creates everything from paintings to drawings, sculptures and more. Who knew that this once prospective lawyer would actually end up being an artist. While studying for the bar exam, David used art as a creative outlet to relieve his stress. The advanced aspects of his work makes it difficult to believe that this self taught artist hadn't been creating all his life.
So who is David Foox?
David Foox is a man that loves to paint and sculpt and craft and create. Part philosopher, part artist, part scientist but unfortunately not part mathematician. David spends his time bi-coastal between NY and LA.
When did your art career begin and how have you and your work evolved since then?
Well... My art career began as a hobby painting Warhammer miniatures. I have painted over 50,000 points worth of 40k models. In geek speak that's an awful lot of littles 2" lead soldiers to paint meticulously down to the whites of their eyes. From there my artwork matured and migrated to canvas and then eventually to glass and now sculpture. I guess I have focused my artwork into a philosophical discussion about the inherent power of symbols, symbolism, and energy waveforms (Fractality). This has been the progression of my creative thought.
