Want to paint the town red? How about every color of the rainbow? This weekend, at the Holi Festival in Berlin, festival goers did just that - rioting in flying colors in celebration of the ancient Indian tradition “Holi,” a.k.a. “Festival of Colors.” Coinciding with the launch of Berlin’s summer open-air parties, approximately 3,000 people showed their true colors by throwing around rainbow powder at the Olympic Park Stadium in Berlin, where Indian DJs, acrobats and dancers performed. “Somewhere over the rainbow” became “Somewhere over a Berlin mosh pit."
