Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal
If only all brother/sister duos got along as well as the Gyllenhaals do. The Gyllenhaals are descendant from a noble Swedish blood line, but grew up in a New York City Jewish home, although Jake opted out of a Bar Mitzvah to volunteer at a homeless shelter. His parents wanted to instill gratitude for his privileged lifestyle. Maggie studied literature and Eastern religions at Columbia University, and graduated with a B.A. in 1999. This wildly successful and talented family is also tight-knit. First, they shared the screen in Donnie Darko in 2001. In 2002, Maggie even introduced little brother Jake to Kirsten Dunst, who he then dated for nearly two years. "He's one of my best friends," says Maggie, who cites their shared passion for acting and politics. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jake Gyllenhaal [Photo via @jakeandmaggie]
