Setting The Stage
-Ashley chose her career path early on, attending London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in order to hone her craft.
-While in school, she starred in a number of stage productions, including
King Henry V and
Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
-The leading-lady-to-be launched her small screen career in 2000, appearing in the television movie
Storm Damage.
-She subsequently gained guest roles on various series in the U.K., such as
Teachers,
Doctors,
Casualty, and
Drop Dead Gorgeous.
-In 2007, Ashley finally ventured into the world of motion pictures, acting alongside Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor in the Woody Allen flick
Cassandra's Dream. Not bad for her big-screen debut.
