Serving as the editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Magazine for 32 years, Helen Gurley Brown paved the way not only for generations of female journalists, but also for the second wave of feminism. Her all-encompassing mantra was "love, sex, and money," yet friends and colleagues remember her gentle spirit and warm nature just as much as they do her tough work ethic. She was one of the first women to explicitly introduce the world to the innermost thoughts of women everywhere and served as the role model to which this women could look.
