Chanel

Location: Havana, Cuba

Karl Lagerfeld sparked a global debate with the selection of Havana as the backdrop for Chanel's resort show. Guests were chauffeured in vibrant vintage cars, rather than black Ubers and bland taxis, to a colonial boulevard that served as the runway. Models strutted past pastel exteriors. The choice of Cuba proved that Chanel is on a trajectory of opting for scenic locations that are brimming in substance and relevance.

Collection: It only takes one look at the fedoras perched atop elegantly coiffed hair to see that the collection showcases the seamless integration between the looks themselves and the backdrop. A classic black-and-white menswear inspired look opened the show, which transitioned to bold prints and shift dresses. Red striped trousers and polished flats felt wearable and breezy, epitomizing our #cruisegoals.

Guests: Vanessa Paradis, Gisele Bündchen, Tilda Swinton, Vin Diesel
