Amagansett resident Paul McCartney was the original owner of this gorgeous Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 that is up for sale. Paul owned the car for about three years, and the recent owners of this stunner are anticipating a $200,000 price tag by the end of the sale.
The auction is set to take place on July 1st at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (in West Sussex England) but hopefully this beauty finds her way back to the roads of the east coast, it is the perfect Hamptons ride! [via]
This particular make was the second of the 400GT series. The car was designed with a longer wheelbase and different roofline. Also different from the first 400GT model, is the larger body that enabled the addition of the extra two seats. The Porsche style synchromesh on all gears was also added to this model and improved drive of the car in comparison to the original make. The bodywork of the model was designed by Carrozzeria Touring with Lamborghini designing the gearbox. This particular model was only manufactured during 1966 and 1968 with a total of only 247 cars of its kind produced. [via Dan's Hamptons]
