[Photo by Rightathome] Drink This. With the weather now finally acting more like July, an icy smoothie is the perfect way to cool off when the summer temperatures reach sweltering degrees. This Triple Berry Smoothie not only contains seasonal ingredients, so you can purchase most of the fruit at a local farmer's market but it is nutritious and jam packed with antioxidants. If possible try to buy mostly organically ingredients in order to maximize the healthiness of this drink. Ingredients and directions below:

    INGREDIENTS:

    2 1/2 c. fat-free vanilla yogurt, fat-free milk or soy milk

1 c. blueberries, frozen or fresh

1/2 c. blackberries, frozen or fresh

1/2 c. raspberries, frozen or fresh

    1/2 c. orange juice

    1/2c.-1c. ice

    Optional

2 tbs. honey for a sweeter smoothie

1 medium banana for a thicker smoothie (a good idea if you're using milk rather than yogurt)

    DIRECTIONS:

Add the yogurt, orange juice, and ice into a blender

Pulse so the ice is chopped

Add some of the fruit and blend until well mixed. Continue to do this until the smoothy is fully blended.

Garish with a sprig of mint and a few berries
