While NOT Lounging Poolside...

    [Photo by artofdessert] Eat This. Once again, "While Lounging Poolside" is on hiatus while the Hamptons are experiencing a temporary monsoon. Until then, this recipe for Strawberry Smore's may revive those childhood memories of camp and that season you call summer (*see not this month in the Hamptons). Strawberries are in season right now so keep on the lookout for them at your local farmers market. With a little twist on the traditional smore's recipe, putting together this snack dessert is both easy and quick. Recipe is as follows:


    Graham crackers (plain, chocolate, or cinnamon)

    Chocolate bar or chips (milk, semi-sweet, or dark)

    Jumbo marshmallows

    Fresh sliced strawberries


    Using a microwave safe plate place the chocolate and then the marshmallow onto a graham cracker square

    Microwave for 15-20 seconds until the marshmallow puffs up

    Place a few strawberry slices on top of the melted marshmallow and chocolate and cap it with a second graham cracker square.

    *If using a Fire: Cook the marshmallow to your liking and then layer the chocolate and strawberry slices on top of the marshmallow. Sandwich between two graham cracker squares. Enjoy.
