The heat is on, and Ruschmeyer's seems to be, welp, hitting the road. Ruschmeyer's, the summer camp for hipsters out in Montauk, has decided it's time to throw away the lawn games and close up the teepee tents after this season. The hotel/restaurant is officially on the market. And, while there's no official price, word on the street is they're looking for a cool $10 million, being actively marketed by Eastdil Secured Group.
Ruschmeyer's had been trying to sweep a court battle among investors under the rug before the season kicked off, but maybe the elephant was too big to hide in the cabana. Will heat from local backlash and law trouble prove too hot for this hot spot...or will it find a loving owner to keep it cool? We think Ruschmeyer's is just waiting for a new pair of hands, so don't buy your Kleenex just yet. Feeling the love? Click through for everything you need to know about the East End favorite.
