Carol 1954
Carol 1954Major wind and rain and storm surges. Category 2 or 3. Record-high wind gust of 135 mph at Block Island. Carol was like that lesbian softball beast you were afraid of in high school. Her storm surge covered the Montauk Highway in Montauk and isolated eastern Long Island for a period of time. Oh, but the boys on Fire Island had it easy with winds of only 30 to 40 mph further supporting my claim of Carol's sexuality. [Photo via]
