This is not meme! We repeat, this is not a meme!
JAJA Tequila, the booze brand founded by @FuckJerry (a.k.a. Elliot Tebele) and co-owned by the Chainsmokers, has taken to social media to report that its Hamptons-hopping branded tequila truck has been stolen.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, JAJA, which was responsible for that now-infamous drive-in Chainsmokers concert in the Hamptons this past July, shared that their truck was last seen on September 1st. Goldberg's Bagels shared the 'gram on stories, adding that the truck was parked outside of its Southampton store when it was snagged.
While JAJA has inserted a bit of humor into the situation, noting the truck's height and weight (4,203 pounds, FYI) and that it may be "suffering from lack of love and care," the post does ask people to call 911 if they see the truck, so it doesn't quite seem like a viral marketing campaign (this is @FuckJerry we're talking about).
Per an IG story post on @FuckJerry's account, it was recently spotted all the way up in Irvington, New York. Guess the thing goes pretty fast.
We'll be tracking the tequila caper of the century and update this with any new information.
