Even though houses on the beach seem to be the most sought after commodity in the Hamptons, this mostly wooden mansion on the canal in Quogue wouldn't have us minding the walk to the beach one bit. The vast, sprawling lawn is more greenery than all of New York City has outside of Central Park combined practically. We'd love to sip a cocktail on one of this place's balconies or decks, since it has more than enough to spare, or light up one of it's chimneys on a cool night. If we lived here, we'd probably never want to leave, but our boat at our own private dock would serve as a nice escape route just in case.
