Sag Harbor Is Getting A Buzzy Dockside Eatery From A Michelin Chef This Summer

by Stephanie Maida · April 17, 2023

We now have yet another reason to be counting down the hours until Memorial Day Weekend.

This summer, East End regulars are in for a treat with the opening of Sag Harbor Kitchen, the buzzed-about new eatery from Michelin-acclaimed chef Melissa O’Donnell in partnership with innovative culinary platform Kittch.

The dockside destination is set to debut in the historic American Legion building at 26 Bay Street, offering up fresh sea-to-table fare along with produce and ingredients from local Long Island farms. Per the press release, "Sag Harbor Kitchen has reimagined the classic space, blending contemporary design with nostalgic charm to create a unique hospitality experience that celebrates the maritime roots of the community."

Featuring an open kitchen and, of course, Chef Melissa's signature communal dining tables, the restaurant promises to serve as a true community gathering place, where guests can relax al fresco by the waterfront or take part in interactive cooking classes and experiences exclusively powered by Kittch, a digital platform that connects leading chefs with consumers around the world.

"I am thrilled to be a part of this exciting new endeavor in beautiful Sag Harbor," says Chef Melissa. "I’ve been coming to Sag for many years, and this opportunity to make this my next chapter is a dream come true."

Sag Harbor Kitchen is slated to open with a limited menu beginning Memorial Day Weekend, and will celebrate its official grand opening on June 15th.

    See you there?
