As summer comes to a close and back-to-school season begins, we're reminded of college drinking years of yore (and by yore we mean...last year..) Well, now that we're in Hamptons mode, we've traded in keg cups and Natty Ice for wine glasses and Wolffer Rose, for Thirsty Thursday: Hamptons Style.
It's one of those things we've been reading about all summer, but when Thursday rolls around, always find ourselves at the movie theater, or enjoying the sunset on the beach, or, pretty much anywhere BUT the vineyard. I know, I know...what were we thinking!? Well, today is when that all changes. That hurricane weather we've had all week has finally stopped, and it's time to finally experience Twilight Thursdays at Wolffer Vineyards.
Earlier this summer, The Wolffer Estate was one of our first stops upon arriving in the Hamptons (yes, we know we're lushes). With a cheese platter and a couple bottles of Rose, we enjoyed an afternoon with friends, overlooking the sprawling rows of grapes.
Tonight, Wolffer Estate hosts Twilight Thursdays - with live music and wine by the glass - and we simply can't think of a better rendition (at least for our new mature, grown-up lives) of Thirsty Thursday. Cheers!
