The Spencer Tiara
Look familiar?
This little old thing was Princess Diana's topper on the day of her wedding to Prince Charles back in 1981. Though that occasion was definitely a highlight, its history begins many years before, with a number of the jewels tracing back to a diamond tiara created in 1767 for the Viscountess Montagu.
Since 1937 this garland-style beauty has been the go-to accessory for Spencer brides, featuring love motifs like heart-shaped scrolls and star and trumpet-shaped flowers.
