Becka Diamond, Alexa Chung, Anna Wintour, Olivia Palermo...all the familiar faces of New York Fashion Week have jumped the pond and kept the party going in the UK. While we're recovering from our own whirlwind week of partying, London is currently in the midst of it. Here are the parties that have people talking....-
Alessandra Ambrosio, Janice Dickinson, Pixie Geldoff, Karen Elson, and, totally randomly, Chloe Moretz (she was the little girl in kickass; she's like, 13 and American so I don't know why she was there) attended Joseph and Love Magazine's London Fashion Week Party in the basement of the Joseph flagship store.
Pixie Geldoff, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Agyness Deyn, sporting a new haircut and with a stuffed rhinocerous in tow, were all at the Giles Deacon and MAC after party at Bistroteque. The party seems simliar to the Alexander Wang party here in New York, at least in terms of fun feel: guests drank moscow mules and ate ice cream cones from a nearby ice cream truck, while some of London's most famous drag queens walked around in Giles' graphic bikinis...
The Pamela Love party at Browns was like a mini NYFW reunion: Becka Diamond, Alexa Chung, Kate Lanphear, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, and Dree Hemingway were all onhand to celebrate the Pamela Love pop-up shop. Americans in London will have felt right at home at the Tex Mex party, where margaritas, chips and guacamole were served. (I love how what's mundane to us is exotic and kitschy across the pond...)
Markus Lupfer threw a party at Bungalow 8 (yep, still cool over there), and who should show up but our very own Olivia Palermo! Pretty sure this is her first time at LFW...it's pretty amazing how legitimately famous she seems to have gotten this summer.
Anna Wintour, Hamish Bowles, Helena Bonham Carter, and, Alexa Chung (again) gathered at Claridge's (the London equivalent of The Plaza) for a party to celebrate The Lost Explorer. To enter the party, guests had to crawl through a mosquito net-tent (even Anna, we wonder?).
The Links of London party at The Ivy drew names such as Daisy Lowe(who DJ'd), Poppy Delvingne, Cat Deely and Matthew Williamson.
