Um, What's All This About Prince William And "Pegging"?

You have to admit, 99.9% of the time, the news coming out about the British royal family is boring as f*ck.

Like, who really cares if Kate Middleton "secretly paid tribute to" Princess Diana by wearing a blue dress (???) or if the queen plans to have her body cryogenically frozen and remain the reigning monarch after death just to spite Prince Charles?

Real run-of-the-mill stuff here.

But every so often, a truly juicy bit of royal gossip emerges... one that's actually worthy of being a trending topic (and headline-making hashtag) on Twitter.

Enter this week's #PrinceOfPegging scandal.

It all started where most of the best celebrity rumors start: over on DeuxMoi, via one of their infamous blind item email submissions.

Ah yes, here it is:

Salacious indeed!

While no names were named, the internet was obviously quick to speculate on the identities of the royal couple in question, landing, overwhelmingly, on Prince William and Kate - especially due to the bit about "the last" affair (remember that?).

Now, we're certainly not pearl-clutching about people's sexual proclivities - if Prince William likes pegging, well, more power to him! - but the idea that Miss Kate is cool with her husband stepping out? That's the real shocker!

As for social media's reaction to the whole thing?

Jokes, of course, abound, but things also seem to be getting heated between the #TeamCambridge and #TeamSussex camps, with William and Kate loyalists blaming this all on Meghan Markle (shocker!) and Harry and Meghan fans hitting back.

One thing's for sure, though: we definitely did not expect to be talking about Prince William getting pegged today.
