The newly engaged couple gave a press conference at St.James's Palace, during which Prince William explained why it took him so long to propose, and the significance of the engagement ring. (It was Diana's!)
Another thing to notice is that the reporters are all calling her "Catherine" as opposed to "Kate"; it's long been said that Middleton would prefer the name "Catherine" for official engagements.
