Matthew Brandt: Velvet and Bubble Wrap
A few of the materials that Matthew Brandt used for his new work, including velvet and bubble wrap, are: dust, aluminum, light, stripes, friends, and various other materials. The combination of these creates interesting effects, such as the "Cocaine on Velvet" piece shown to the left. Brandt feels the materials used in the works represent and identify in Los Angeles.
