I think one of the things that makes it possible for me to like the British Royal family is the fact that they still serve in the military. And doing real jobs, too. Prince Harry is a helicopter pilot (as is Prince William), which is a legitimate and dangerous job, regardless of whether he's flying combat missions or search & rescue. I think the fact that they actually serve the otherwise democratic country that finances their insane lifestyle is important. It's kind of like how the "Jersey Shore" kids have to work at the t-shirt shop because Danny owns the shore house or something, I think. They never really get into that, it's kind of confusing.
