The worst part about being President of the United States (aside from major economic crisis, war, and an obstructionist know-nothing Congress, of course) is probably that you never get to snag a decent lunch anymore. Sure, the White House chef will grill you up a ribeye at any time of the day, but when you're just craving a Double Baconator at 2 p.m. you can't exactly dip out of the CIA briefing to hit up Wendy's.

That's why I'll never get tired of watching Barack Obama use his travel schedule as a constant excuse to chow down on on comfort food. And while in town yesterday, on his way to a reportedly $35,800-a-plate fundraiser dinner, the President stopped at the greatest L.A. comfort food spot of all: Roscoe's House Of Chicken and Waffles.
