An already lifted crowd was elevated to new heights when Pac magically appeared on stage, via presumably the same magic hologram technology that
inexplicably put Will.I.Am in the middle of CNN's 2008 election coverage. The ghostly rapper paced the stage, interacting (with eerie accuracy) with Dre and Snoop, screaming "what the fuck is up, Coachella?!?", and performing "Hail Mary" and his classic Snoop collaboration, "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted." Although rumors had circulated earlier in the week about Dre and Snoop incorporating holograms into their set, everyone seemed to think it would have something to do with the late Nate Dogg (who was more traditionally memorialized with a photo/video montage), and so 2pac's appearance came as a genuine surprise.
