The big red food truck that helps feed homebound seniors by feeding L.A. lunch every Tuesday is back on the streets for its weekly lunchtime fix. Today, Chef Michael Fiorelli of mar'sel at the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes has joined the Cart for a Cause mission and will be on board with his signature takes on California cuisine.
The gourmet $10 boxed meals he'll be serving up offer diners two choices: BBQ Beef Bahn Mi with house pickled vegetables and chile aioli, or Crispy Roasted Eggplant cake with marinated vegetables and chile aioli. With proceeds benefiting St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels program, is there really a better excuse to grab yourself some midday gourmet?
The truck will be parked at 1776 Main Street in Santa Monica from noon-2pm so be sure to mosey on over if you're jonesin' for something delicious and wallet-friendly.
