After last week's success behind the UTA building, La Cachette Bistro is on board for an encore performance today with the weekly gourmet food truck. Today's lunch offerings will be meatloaf and salad nicoise, courtesy of the Santa Monica bistro's chef, Jean Francois Meteigner.
For only $10, Cart for a Cause gives you the opportunity to indulge in some guilt-free gourmet, with proceeds of the more-than-fairly-priced lunches going to St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels program. But deals get even better for Santa Monica's finest: men and women of the SaMo Police Department will be able to score the delicious lunches for just $8.
The big red truck will be stationed in front of the RAND Building in Santa Monica at 1776 Main Street from 12-2pm. Make sure you get there on the early side if your heart's set on the lunches because those cops work up an appetite and something tells us they're going go fast.
