The Lineup
Did we mention that this is a really, really good lineup? Because that's still true. While there's plenty to keep HARD's core fanbase of EDM fanatics raving away with top-flight DJ's like Skrillex & A-Trak, the DJ selection also represents a broad overview of electronic music, incorporating beloved indie elders like James Murphy, local heroes like Gaslamp Killer and Jason Bentley, and producers with hip hop pedigree like Araabmuzik. And that's before we even get into the actual hip-hop acts like Danny Brown and Action Bronson, both inspired choices that prove that their decision to collaborate with Fool's Gold Records on an exclusive stage (more on that when we look at the stages and set times) was an excellent one.
In addition, music fans who prefer rock (albeit electronically influenced rock, this
is HARD, after all) have plenty to get excited about with big names like Bloc Party, who haven't toured together in several years, Little Dragon, and even a serious dose of funk from the legendary Bootsy Collins. So in short, yes, this is a very good lineup.
