15. Coffee Table Books
One thing I'll never have enough of is coffee table books. I have ones about fashion designers, art, architecture, street signs, vintage photos of L.A., the '90s grunge scene, even Brooklyn in the late '70s-early '80s when hip-hop was emerging. Chances are I'll find a way to appreciate any one that's given to me, even if it's just to stack below the ones I think are prettiest that I want to make most visible. I always say coffee table books are the default gift if you can't think of what to get for someone since there are books out there for just about every kind of gift givee's interest under the sun. There are probably even coffee table books about coffee tables since Kramer's bright idea on that "Seinfeld." Taschen, Rizzoli and Assouline have fantastic books, as does Lead Apron, but those ones can be a bit pricey. Just a friendly reminder: the Kate Moss book came out last month and I'm pretty sure most people would be cool with that as a gift. Get them at Rizzoli, Taschen, Assouline
