What's It Like?: Bonnaroo is the most ridiculous musical camping trip you'll ever go on. 80,000 people, 700 acres of Tennessee Nature, 150 performances, 10+ stages of music.... its a little like a hippie commune if hippies raged to Childish Gambino.
Notable Acts: Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beach Boys (!!).
Types of People: What happens when you mix a giant music festival with open Southern farmland? Fun-loving hipsters and townsfolk collide.
Pros: Look at the
Bonnaroovian Code, doesn't that seem pretty nice? Also, the music lineup is insanely diverse. This year's bill features (among many others) Ludacris, Radiohead, Flogging Molly, and Flying Lotus.
Cons: As far as I can tell, Bonnaroo is what
Tank Girl would be like in real life: kind of a sexy anarchy with lots of makeshift houses and lots of dust. Don't like roughing it? Bonnaroo may not be your thing.
